I’ve already encouraged you to microchip your pet and have ID tags on the collar to prevent him/her from getting lost. But what if the tag falls off or the microchip isn’t working correctly? What if you’re away and can’t be reached at the phone number you gave? What if your dog is stolen? There needs to be back-up plans to back-up plans.
